Frequently Asked Questions

Are there different processed audio files users can choose from?
Yes, go to https://stillpointx.wordpress.com/store for different options.

What should I say in my audio file?

  1. Start off by saying ‘ahhh’ or chanting a mantra of your choice like ‘Om mani padme hum or Ah me dee lee ghong jhong hong’ https://youtu.be/bvUWAobgnnQ?t=579
  2. Then say your affirmations if you have any. It’s better to write out and practice your affirmations ahead of time, at the moment the length of a users audio file should be 35 to 45 seconds (which includes the chanting). Here’s a link to an online stop watch and countdown timer http://www.online-stopwatch.com/html5/online-stopwatch.php
An example of affirmations can be found here. (http://www.creativeaffirmations.com/list-of-affirmations.html)
  3. Example: “Om Mani Padme Om, My body is perfectly healthy and working perfectly, my back pain and my shoulder pain are gone and has been healed. I feel bliss and attract bliss” just repeat your affirmation or mantra for 35-45 seconds in length.

Where should I email my vocal audio file?
Email the audio file as an attachment to stillpointx@gmail.com and in the email subject header include the Transaction ID found in your Paypal receipt.

What programs should I use to record my voice.
(Please note these programs are not created by us and we take no responsibility for them.)
There are several free programs that can be used to create the audio file required. Here’s just a few.

  1. On an Android smartphone, Smart voice recorder https://play.google.com/store/ (this application allows you to email the audio file once recorded). The settings should be set to a sampling frequency of 44100hz (hertz) and 16bits.
  2. On an iphone / ipad Pocket Wavepad https://itunes.apple.com/us/ (this application allows you to email the audio file once recorded)
Note: as long as the audio file is stored as a wav file it should be fine. The settings should be set to a sampling frequency of 44100hz (hertz) and 16bits.
  3. On the desktop is Audacity which is available free for Linux, Mac, and Windows. http://www.audacityteam.org/
The settings should be set to a sampling frequency of 44100hz (hertz) and 16bits.
You will have to attach the file in an email and send it to an email address once an account is set up. This choice requires you to have some type of external microphone as a webcam/laptop mic isn’t that good because it picks up a lot of background noise.

How should I listen to the audio file?
We recommend you listen to the audio file twice using headphones while in bed before you go to sleep, and before you get out of bed after a nights sleep.   You could also loop the audio file and listen to it with external speakers after your done listening to it with the headphones. Here’s a link to an example of what the file might sound like https://stillpointx.wordpress.com/male-1-example-data/. The file we create does not have “common” tempo’s and use “common” timing. It is not a musical composition in the classical sense. The audio file is calculated and created using specific frequencies for each individual subject based on the audio wav file the subject sends to us.

How is this done?
In short using mathematical programming but it could be classified as solving for multidimensional (multi-variable) non-linear vector functions or what I like to call math.
The basic steps are:

  1. Import subjects audio file (wav file) into program
  2. Calculate then create:
    1. Personal Resonance Notes (PR-N)
  3. Calculate then create:
    1. Personal Resonance Chords (PR-C) based on Personal Resonance Notes (PR-N)
  4. Combine:
    1. Personal Resonance Chords (PR-C)

Why do we call the file users send to us a “vocal snapshot / vocal pattern / vocal recipe”?
We call it a “vocal snapshot / vocal recipe / vocal pattern” due to the fact that if you put thousands of individual snapshots together you get a movie if you add all the ingredients in a recipe together you get a meal.  That’s the reason we call it a “vocal snapshot / vocal recipe / vocal pattern” we follow the instructions found in your voice to create the final VSR (Vocal Sympathetic Resonance) file.

Table: Analogy comparing a food recipe with what we call your “vocal recipe / vocal snapshot / vocal pattern” (which is the audio file you send to us)

Simple recipe

Vocal Recipe / Vocal Snapshot

Ingredients: (eggs, flour, sugar, milk)

Frequency: (90hz, 187hz, 320hz, 340.3hz etc…)

Amount of ingredients: (2 eggs, 1 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 cup of milk 2 cups of flour)

Amplitude: (.5, .2, .3, .34 etc…)

When to add the ingredients and how long to cook: (preheat oven 15mins , cook for 45mins)

Phase angle: (3 radians, 2.34 radians, 5.54 radians, 0.45 radians etc…)

What type of effects will I have?
Each person will have a different experience, but a sense of calmness and well being along with vivid dreams may be some of the effects experienced.

Shouldn’t you / I compress the sound files to an mp3 file to shrink the file size?
Not at this time, the program requires an uncompressed audio file to prevent artifacts from being added and frequencies from being altered or dropped out (this is why an mp3 file can be so small, data and or frequencies are dropped out). We use a file type called FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec). The Free Lossless Audio Codec format is an open source audio compression format. Audio compressed via the Free Lossless Audio Codec is lossless, meaning that no sound quality is lost during the compression, unlike other popular audio compression formats like MP3 or WMA. Most audio players play FLAC files but to make sure please download a demo FLAC file from here http://bit.ly/1jwlaEo or use your favorite search engine to test and make sure your device will play FLAC files. Note: we can provide any subject with a WAV file at a cost but the file sizes are very large and may take sometime (hours) for us to upload them and you to download them.

Will my audio file have the same effect on another person?
Most likely not. These files are calculated and created specifically for the subject whose voice/sound created the audio file much like a tailored suit one size does not fit all.

Will the same frequency always work?
Unknown at this time but it maybe that as we change over time the frequencies the subject requires for balancing may also change over time.

Why don’t I need some type of assessment done before hand?
No assessment is needed before hand, remember this technique works by using the resonance frequencies found in your vocal file, that’s why we decided to call the technique Vocal Sympathetic Resonance (VSR).  If you have a cold and a person sounds stuffy that’s fine because we want those frequencies, remember the goal is movement (using resonance).  Our goal is to not only stimulate the system using sympathetic resonances but also to open up the system.  By using resonances to gently “rock the system back and forth” (like freeing a car stuck in the mud).  This should allow the opening up / assist in the natural flow of the system to once again take place.

What type of field is this?
It goes by several names Sound Therapy, Bio-acoustics, Neuroacoustics, Personalized auditory digital homeopathy, Psychoacoustics, Sonocytology and several others.
Video of a technical overview of Sonocytology can be found at these links.

“You can play 88 keys on a piano but there are an infinite amount of unplayed and unseen keys or notes between these 88 keys. Remember how to play the unplayed and remember how to see the unseen for a grand symphony orchestra is patiently awaiting their conductor, excuse me while I compose my magnum opus using the unseen and unplayed keys.” (The Conductor)
